Energy

As the prices of oil and energy in general increase, the farming industry is obliged to seek alternatives. In order to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, several approaches can be explored:

  • energy-saving;
  • using renewable energy sources.

Energy efficiency

The Agri-Development Department can suggest ways in which you can optimise your energy consumption, particularly by means of an “energy audit” of your farm.

Renewable energy (photovoltaic, wind, agro-fuels, biogas, etc.)

The Agri-Development Department also offers you its expertise in the generation of renewable energy. Wallonia farms offer considerable potential in this area. Our expert assessment covers:

  • Feasibility studies
  • Advice about different generation systems
  • Information on the types of assistance available
  • Project follow-up and support
