The beef cattle industry

Autonomy in cattle feed and calculation of rations

Faced with dependence on concentrates from outside the farm, in particular imported soya, the Agri-Development Department is seeking, with the collaboration of other bodies involved in agricultural research and development, to make Wallonia breeders aware of alternatives. These will enable them to free themselves of this dependence, so as to either reduce production costs, or in order to guarantee consumers the traceability of the animal feed, in particular as regards non-GMO certification.

In addition to arranging “technical days” at benchmark farms, we can suggest methods to promote autonomy and help you calculate rations.
